Audio noob headphone query

my friend is looking for headphones for 8k...he thinking about bose model and asked me to check out but me noob in audio stuff so dont know so what would be best headphones for 8k.
 
You have lots of choice at that price point. Drop the idea of Bose, they are not known for High Fidelity. I could recommend you the ATH-A900. You have a nice review of those in TE. However they would be slightly big for your budget. You may try the ATH-M50s, one of the top 10 headphones. Loved by many for their sound. A lot of members in TE own them and will recommend you. I hope that you are not looking for active noise cancelling!
