hi guys

I have to buy an entry level phone, I'm caught between choice of Nokia X2 and Samsung Champ 2.

Nokia has 5mp camea with LED flash, that provides considerable pull.

But I read some where that nokia x2 has poor usability. ( slow , hard keys).

But samsung champ has only resistive screen at this price ( around 5000) ( 3g is not important).

Please let me have your opinios, any other phone in this range (up to 5500).

thanks for help.

Compare both phone here & see who is winner.

for me Samasung Champ 2

So if you can stretch your budget till 5500, I would highly recommend you Wave 5253.. I bought it for my sister in last August and its so good for the price that I have made two more people buy it. They too just love it.

It has 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, Screen is preety good (Sunlight legibility is just okay), decent 3.2 MP camera, Music is good, Predictive text input is there, You can install Bada apps, Good battery backup, Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS and more..

And its simple to use too..

Here you can find it for 5.7k

Google for Homeshop 18 coupons and you shall get it below 5.5k.

X2 or champ are no match for Wave 5253..

I currently use a nokia x2-01 with a 4gb sandisk mem card..... Actually if the phone is just for texting and stuff go for it. Its qwerty keyboard is amazing for the price. Im a heavy texter so this phone is good for it. Other than that, music is pretty good if you play with the eq a bit. It is a little slow. Well what can you expect from a 2.5k phone. And I dont pretty much like the cedar cuz music player eq isnt user editable, and It lags even without anything in the mem card...... I have both phones, Id go with x2-01. But cedar also has multi tasking. It depends on your usage really.

im having a similar requirement as the OP.

wanted to gift a person using Nokia 5130 presently.

a first timer to touch phones.

not a texter and uses the phone just for calls and reading messages.

hows the champ 2 for first time touch users.

hows the sound quality and battery backup?

does the resistive screen give up in couple of years.

(already many of friends with touch and type nokia phones are going crazy with the screen!!)
