Nokia in Chennai/India.

May i know what phones are being manufactured here?
A friend of mine said he bought 1100 made here and the VERY next day he had to return it due to some fault.
He said pieces made and sold here seem to be of poor quality.
Any comments?

atleats if nokia did setup a factory in india which is its one of largest market i'm so sure it wont make such poor quality pohones afterall thts why we buy nokia.

and also how can we skip the news of nokia making factory in india!!.

i thot the factory mite hv sneeked in and its manufacturing only the 1100's and the similar kinds .. which wd be branded as Made In India.. For India ..

Nokia has setup up its manufacturing unit in sriperumbudur and mostly low-end phones are manufactured there. So i am pretty sure that Vince's friend has a locally manufactured cell-phone.

PS: Other than nokia, samsung and lg also have manufacturing units setup here.
