My pc again betrayed me. Everything seems to be running, but doesnt show any video output.
Also, previously, while switching on, the fans and the poweron switch would become idle for a sec and then continue the booting. This was normal. But it aint happening now. Will this help to tell what has gone bad?
Also this started after the computer just switched off by itself while i was playing brothers in arms:hh. This had happened once before; a couple of days before that
.Trouble shooting done so far:
cleaned and reconnected the wires.
Reinserted videocard and ram n times
switched video card and monitor
changed the cmos jumper and did put it back. Though not the battery. the motherboard manual doesnt say how to remove the battery and clearing cmos instruction did not include battery removal.
Used a single ram and tried at the diff slots available.

I recently faced the same issue, PC suddenly stopped booting, no beep, no video.

In my case one of my two corsair 2GB module, one went kaput.

Please try both of your RAM sticks one by one, if posssible get someone else's RAM and try booting your PC.

You can also try to your RAM sticks in other computer to check if they are working.

My RAM is back from RMA and working fine now.

Probably your mobo is faulty - if under warranty get it RMA'd. Here in Kolkata they usually check in front of you before accepting board for RMA.

It can be either mobo, cpu or RAM. Its easy to check for CPU and ram, CPU check it at a friends place, and looks like you have already checked the RAM...

Personally I yet have to see a CPU die obviously ocing insanely chips aside, its always the mobo which conks out first etc...

;) hi try these steps
the best step to determine if the mobo is fine or not
1>take out all the ram sticks and boot the mobo ,if mobo
gives no beeps ur mobo just died ,if it is giving long continous
beeps then mobo "MIGHT" WORK
2>See if the mobo is getting power ,ur proccy fan may be be off
but see if the back light on the psu is on or off if on then
connect the ethernet cable to the pc and see if u see
the steady green light or the blinking orange(amber) light
if on then the mobo "MIGHT" WORK(even if the pc is turned on the
ethernet lights should be on as the psu is still on)
3>and if the back light on the power supply is not
on then see if it turns on if u disconnect the psu's connection
from all internal pc components,if it still does not turn on with
no components connected the psu is gone bad ,if it turns on then
connect internal components one by one and check which internal
component like a HDD or mobo when connected turns the PSU's light off
that part may have gone bad
4>just remove ur cmos battery like replacing the battery of ur alram clock
u dont need instructions for the ,its not that hard as u think
it is,just use a pin
6>hey i dont know more about mobo troble shotting but u can callup
ur manufacture of the mobo for it right??

....i hope u tried a different video cable while swiching monitors
or video cards ,and also try using a blow dryer and blow the dust
form ur mobo but dont try to heat it up;)

^looks like no one has provided a solution...i have absolutely no experience in this....

check out this link http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/202766-29-asus-deluxe-boot-display

...similar prob, but didnt find solution...one says updated bios helped

does the monitor work?..does it display no signal without cable connection or something

try using different monitor cable / port(vga vs dvi)

was it a new rig???....
if old, did it you update any gpu driver/os/bios?....if new try updating drivers
