i dont think a stripped down nexus will be able 2 compete with nokia and samsung in the price range... it will be beaten hands down in the features department...

Even if it has specs like:-
500mhz processor,256mb ram, 3.2" capacitive display, 3.2mpx camera and android 2.1 and priced rightly 10k-15k. It would make a killer device. The only two android devices under 15k are the Galaxy and Galaxy Spica, there will be more options then.
And the brand google sells

10-15k is just what these dorks 'speculate' . They do not have ANY sort of confirmation , just that a stripped down nexus one will be launched. They even named it mini themselves.

Stripped down version is fine to target the mainstream mobile market in India but Google should also bring the ORIGINAL Nexus One here in India, and if priced at around 24k, which is the direct dollar conversion to INR, that should still be a great buy. I'm sure many of us will be willing to pay that much for Google Nexus One.
