New router suggestion (around 5000-7000 ₹)

Hello,
I have this old router setup as main router in main hall.

Shifting oldrouter to bed room, for making local lan more effective .

Please suggest a router around 5 to 6k for a 20 meters house.
2 rooms are blocked via 3 walls accessed via 2 doors from main router, doors are closed at night.
(one will be my room, this will have ethernet connectivity between 2 routers new and old)

Old router has EOL.
So looking something good with good features, internet connection will be via PPPOE ethernet.
Existing router supports openwrt (since installed on old routers firmware never configured except PPPOE changes or Wifi/Ssid changes, not a techy)

Not sure what else to look in new router.

Mesh system wud be good....other members already using different brands can shed some more light on which is better.....though have heard Deco series is good.

Most decent routers have a coverage of 2000-3000 Sq. Ft. and a decent mesh requires a wired backhaul to be set up. Mesh is more relevant in multi-storey setups or really large houses, otherwise having a decent router set up centrally is more than enough for most apartments.

Mesh systems will be over budget, I wont get those under 6 to 7000 INR ?
A good router then one which already using since past 5+ years will be good solution in my case.

As @t3chg33k said, wud u be putting the router centrally as that wud give best coverage.
Thanks, But technically this is not possible now,
As all wiring is internal and provision was only made in main room.

I have no issues with existing router, but it has started dropping connection every few minutes, ISP installed there demo router for 2 days, things were fine.
So a good quality/speedy router compared to old can do the work.

Did u checked the new firmware for ur router, as tplink tend to have issues with firmware.....with it u can buy a certain repeater which act as mesh device also.
Check this link " https://www.tp-link.com/en/onemesh/product-list/" for tplink devices which are compatible with one mesh and will be under budget also.
Hello @rockyo27
Thanks for help and posting links.
I am not a techy when comes to hardware selection, based on my budget request you to suggest me the right router please ?

2-3 options will be better for further comparison as per my needs.

This is good option....someone was selling here on forum also or u can wait for BBD sale for cheaper price. But each unit will be having 2 gig ports only

That would be a good option. You can add more nodes later if required.
Thanks, but can this system.
Connect to internet from my ISP via RJ45 And also 3 PCs from main router (via RJ45)

I assume that means only 2 PCs can be connected via RJ45?

No...only one as one is for wan and other is for lan or u can connect other router with it for wired backhaul
Thank you very much for your continued help. On that case this system is not for me.

I won't go for a mesh system at this time, request you to only suggest a good router. Atleast 2 to 3 options possibly.

Hello,
This is the list of routers I have gathered after searching a bit.

Any specific suggestion from this?
Does any of this supports internet connectivity via Jio mobile and then share the internet to all other devices .

Thanks.
