If you can extend your budget a bit, you can get your hands on the Dell UltraSharp U2311H for ~ 13.5k.

That monitor has a 8 ms response time, which I think may not be suitable for gaming. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion but that's got a 1920x1080 (16:9) resolution. I am specifically looking for a monitor with 16:10 reso.

EDIT:

I checked it out and I think that's my best option if I don't get a good 16:10 monitor though so thanks again.

EDIT2:

Some monitors on my mind are:

Dell UltraSharp 2209WA - http://accessories.d...rp&sku=320-7825

Dell UltraSharp 2208WFP - http://accessories.u...en&sku=320-6107

Thoughts anyone?

Nope, I confirmed with them, its U2311H.

EDIT:

Bought the U2311H for 14.65k. Although a bit costlier, it was worth every penny. Recommended++

Thanks for your valuable suggestions guys.

EDIT 2:

From what I know you need the order no. and the 20 digit serial no. to claim warranty. I did find the 20 digit serial no., but where is the order no. given? I know its somewhere on the box but there are so many numbers on the box. How do I know which 1s the order no? Anyone know the format of the order no.?

-Thanks

The order number will be on the Invoice sheet.

Is the invoice sheet the re seller's receipt? Isn't the order no. supposed to be on the dell box also which contained the monitor also? Sorry, if this doubt may sound stupid, its because I am yet to collect the receipt from the re seller.

Congrats on the purchase, told you it was worth it,enjoy!
