Audio New 2.1 Speaker required for PC - Budget 3K

I have Altec Lancing VS4121 from 2010. I liked VS 4121. Prior to it I was using intex. So difference was really good. The only problem faced was that the bass was loud.
It has just gone dead.

Now I want to know whether it make sense to go for repairing the same? I mean from Altec Lansing service centre in Mumbai.

If no, then I would like to buy a new 2.1 speaker system. My budget is around 3000.
I would like it to have under/over voltage protection.
I am from Mumbai. I would like to buy it from lamington.
 
I got he F&D F680 for Rs.3500 a month back and am really happy with it.Good Lows and Highs but the Mids get a bit over powered during bassy music
