I need a backup phone . I already have a Nexus 4. My maximum budget is 20k .
Primary usage would be for calls, texting, whatsapping, fb etc.
I need a secondary phone as am constantly shuffling between Mumbai and Bangalore. So need to use 2 numbers.

2. Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar
3. Preferred display type?
A: TFT,IPS,AMOLED
4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: mmx, all chinese rebranded stuff i dislike.
5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen
6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Required at least 5MP camera. Flash.
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android, WP8
8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G.
9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Camera, Calls,whatsapp,texting,music
10. Any other requirements?
A: Don't require dual sim/require dual sim/etc.

A: XPERIA SP, LUMIA 720

If you need good camera then go for Lumia series, it would be enough for your needs. Look at 920 at local stores if you can get, online also you can find. Else 820 and 720 are also good.

Seems the prices for xperia sp have increased again.... god knows why ??? it was seeling for around 19k some 1 mnth ago.
How is the battery backup of Lumia 720. Can someone post any sample pics taken in low light from Lumia 720 here.
Also in the longer run which one would be better ? Lumia or Xperia SP .

Go for a Lumia. In the long run you will get updates from Microsoft really soon and also the interface is buttery smooth. I have been using Android phones for sometime now and can safely say that if you don't have a Nexus device, updates for your phone is a big gamble! Also WP8 is less stressful on hardware than Android. People complaining about low number of apps in WP8 are generally power users i.e. they use a large percentage of the apps available. For regular users WP8 is excellent and apps in WP8 store will suffice. @Doofus since your budget is 20k go for the Lumia 820. it is freaking beautiful. Just gifted my mom one and i think i will sell my optimus l9 to get one for myself too.

I think Nokia 820 would be better option in this particular price range. Nokia 820 come with 8 MP camera with carl ziess lens and it was 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, Dual Core with 1 GB Ram which makes it a powerful phone in this range.

hows the camera on L820?? Also would L820 get the 8.1 update ? Does anyone know from where i can get an Motorola Droid Maxx for 20k. It has a 3500 mah battery and superb build quality.
