Also it looks awesome and comes in a sleek, slim body when compared to other 15inch laptops.
its MRP is 52k but you can easily get it for 50k along with a free Targus laptop bag at the vaio flagship stores. Here are the relevant links:

^^ The production of Acer 5740G has been been stopped and it is not available in the market and the newer 5745G comes with nvidia GT330m not a Ati 5650.

Hey there,

Listen incase if you purchase a Dell system, let me know so that I can get you some discounts on the same.

Pm me the name, number and the E-code of the system and I will get back to you.

Thanks and Regards,

Vivek

I was out in the market and had a look at Acer Aspire 5745G for 45k

i5+4gb+500gb+Nvidia GT300

Is it worth buying or should i consider other models ?

EDIT :

How about any Sony Laptops with i5 and good GPU combination ??

According to me, an i3 processor is more than enough for your usage conditions, have a look at the laptops i have mentioned above in post #2.

No HP,its sucks big-time and if you are wondering how then i'll tell you,I work for Hewlett-Packard

Iam not at all interested in a HP laptop

Iam more into getting the Vaio EB26

me 2 getting a vaio eb26...

@RS4>>>it still is available at sme places..old stock may b..newy thnx 4 d update..:p :D

get a timeline if u can do wid acer..or go wqid sony..it rocks..u'll luv d feel of it..

Now my choice lies between the Vaio EB26 - i3+4GB RAM+500GB HDD+ATI 5650 1 GB + 1080p Screen : 52K

And Acer Aspire 5470G - i5+4GB RAM+500GB HDD+ATI 5650 1 GB+ 720p Screen : 45K

Still Confused :p

Hi! I'm planning to get a Studio 14/15. How much discount I can expect? (in %) :)

@Yash: Sorry for bumping your thread ;)

IF U GIVE COLOR ND LUKS ANY PREFERENCE AT ALL AND A FULL hd SCREEN MATTERS, THEN GO FOR VAIO..ITS AMAZING

or else go for acer..its value for money..and i wud suggest u a timeline instead of this 5740G..its better luking..thinner..lighter..and has amazing battery backup..

Just have a look on both the laptops in person and also take some full HD clips with you on a pen drive, I am sure you wont be confused after doing that:hap5:

Vaio in general has superior build quality, but it loses on two grounds -:

1) slower HDD : all Vaio's come with 5400 rpm HDD, i wonder if there are 7200 rpm upgrades available

2) slower CPU : for the price, Vaio is available with i3 330M/350M compared to 370M/i5 450M other brands are offering. This mainly matters because 370M and 450M are a newer stepping (first revision of Arrandale iirc)
