Buying all these upcoming amazon and flipkart sale.
do inform me about card discounts + cashback + coupons
will this be applicable for single phone single time, single phone multiple times, multiple phone single time and multiple phone multiple times

Thank you.

Need urgent reply for moto edge 40 neo
will this price remain same or there will be more discounts in upcoming sale? any guesses?

You mentioned moto is exclusive on fk, I corrected you and said it's not exclusive, you can buy from the moto site also. I was under the assumption you were not aware of that option.
No problem friend.
If you don't want that or my input, there's a very handy ignore member feature I suggest you use. You'll not see my replies nor get notifications for them.
I only want mobile suggestions. Good and bad. advantages and disadvantages. nothing else.
price + discounts + coupons + cashbacks are there on amazon and flipkart (as it's their biggest sale).
some mobiles like redmi 12 is available on both amazon and flipkart.
But it's amazon exclusive device, only sold on amazon not on flipkart. flipkart have redmi 12 4G.
But sometimes some seller sell on higher price, amazon exclusive product on flipkart and vice versa.

And I don't know about this exclusivity for all mobiles that is why I need links too when anyone suggest mobile. So it will become easier to add to cart and calculate all cart value, discounts, coupons, cashback w.r.t. amazon and flipkart.

someone said "big gamble" or something earlier then yes it will be big gamble buying all 5 mobiles + other items.

IMO Poco F5 should be a good all rounder for those who want performance. There are plenty of gcam ports for it as well, so you've got the camera segment covered as well. Iqoo neo 7 pro shouldn't be a better option than the F5, sure you get SD 8+ Gen 1, but the SD 7+ Gen 2 on F5 is already plenty good enough.
Plus, you get good custom rom support as well.

For aunt and mom, can consider Moto G54/G84, or M34/F34 from Samsung. Lava Agni 2 is a good option as well, with its near stock android but the 6.8 inch display can be a problem.

S21 FE is decent, my uncle has it and he gets between 5.5 - 6 hrs of SOT with dark mode, non gaming usage and 60hz (sometimes switches to 120hz). Exynos 2100 is not as bad as people claim it to be. If it goes below 30k, get it blindly.

- Do you think those S23FE equipped with SD8 Gen 1 (For US Markets) got similar inefficiency in the early days (the entire S22 line)?
- Are there any improvements in 2023 for SD8 Gen 1?

Same phones with different chipsets, as fair of a comparison as it can be. S870 (3 year old SoC) results in better battery life & performs better under load (check stress test numbers in review).

The solution to 8 Gen 1 was 8+ Gen 1 made by TSMC.

Android flagships were bad for 2 years because of Samsung fab (S888 & 8 Gen 1), now even a phone like S23 with 3900mah battery has a good enough battery life.

S21 FE exynos was old. SD888 variant was released in june. search on youtube "techwiser s21 FE"
And according to techwiser... this one is good and improved.

can you please provide battery life chart too?
what about other 5000 mAh 5G devices? SOT will be worst here too?
what about the old edge 30, fusion etc?

this is very difficult as now I am buying 5 devices at a time.
comparing SD 730G (pcoo x2) to others leave me no option as no such upgrades and no good mobiles are there at same poco x2 price.
I will not recommend high performance Samsung fab made SoCs. Do your research & take the call if you want to go for S21FE S888.

Moto has very slow updates, so old devices are an easy no because of software support. G84 will get 1 OS update & edge 40 will get 2.

S730 is around S695 for performance. Compare M51 & G84 benchmarks.

GSMArena is a great place for research:

At the end you have to purchase it, so you have to put in some effort. Don't blindly believe anyone, including me. Even notebookcheck does some good reviews, but limited phone reviews. If not the same phone, check for phones with similar specs.

Most people who trash the S21FE have never used it or seen it being used. I have one in my house. For non-gaming usage, it is simply brilliant.

It has the best update schedule till A16 also, in case it matters.

Charging is painfully slow if one is used to fast-charging models. But the present phones that OP's family uses are not those 10min 50% charging types.

Cameras, which the OP specified for two users, are almost flagship level.

I'd honestly steer away from Samsung made Snapdragon chips. 2 of my friends have the S22 series, they're always on power saving mode (60hz, no 5g, CPU speed limited to 70%, no AOD, reduced brightness) just to last through a workday.

For comparison, here's my S23, with sd gen 2 and tiny 3900mAh battery. Mix of 5g and WiFi, 120hz, AOD on, CPU not being throttled, no power saving.

I get like 5hr SOT on my S20FE 5G on WiFi with 18-20hr usage to drop it to 15%. That's without any sort of power saving mode or tweaks. My friend uses his S21FE with power saving mode, 60Hz, etc to make it last 13-14hrs with mobile data. I don't have to worry about my S20FE 5G so much for a morning to evening cycle on mobile data.

SoC is the only issue for S21FE & even upcoming S23FE. I will not recommend high performance Samsung fab made SoCs.

People still bought old exynos Samsung flagships or S22 series. But when such a person switches to an iPhone, they will lose trust in Android easily. I know people from my previous company who did so.
I'd honestly steer away from Samsung made Snapdragon chips. 2 of my friends have the S22 series, they're always on power saving mode (60hz, no 5g, CPU speed limited to 70%, no AOD, reduced brightness) just to last through a workday.

Those are nice numbers, better than my S20FE 5G easily. I really miss the form factor of my old S8, the only con of the S23 is the price for me. My phone is 2 years old, will likely try to use it for 2 years more.

Usage Patterns:

1. Aunt (age 65) -
M21 = stock rom
Usage pattern = Calling (long hours), Whatsapp video calls, Camera photography-videography frequently, JioTV (entertaiment)
overall = don't use mobile that much, but takes photos of relatives, use google photos app for checking old photo and videos, listens to devotional songs on youtube and watch tv on jiotv.
mostly used by others for playing games and taking photos and videos. device is mostly in idle mode.

2. Sister (age 37)
Note 7s = debloated stock rom, greenify installed
Usage pattern = Calling (long hours), Camera photography-videography frequently, entertaiment apps, Social media chatting sharing, Google (sheets, docs), MS Office (excel, word), Browser (chrome or default)
overall = overall usage is about creating, editing, sharing word and excel files using different office apps (different features provided by different apps). her son use mobile for gaming (casual), youtube streams. daughter use mobile for school whatsapp and youtube videos.
and movies songs entetainment purpose.

3. dad (age 55)
POCO X2 = custom rom installed, kernel su, modules - greenify, automatic charging controller (for better battery life), BCR (call recorder) (these modules runs in background)
Usage pattern = Facebook (scrolling vidoes), Calling, Video calling, WhatsApp Chatting, Whatsapp video calling, Google (sheets, docs), MS Office (excel, word), Browser (chrome or default), entetainment apps, radio, Camera photography, camera videography sometimes
overall = camera ocassional need but performance need in day to day task, short-tempered when MOBILE does a smallest mistakes.

4. mom (age 51)
Redmi Note 7 = stock miui rom, magisk installed, modules - greenify, automatic charging controller (for better battery life) (these modules runs in background)
Usage pattern = Youtube (videos, movies), Calling (long hours), Whatsapp video calls, WhatsApp Chatting, Camera photography-videography ocassionally, radio
Overall = ocassional photography videography. watching movies, youtube videos and calling, video calling are the main things.

5. me
I decided to go with poco f5. but waiting for others to decide first.

Some rom, kernel releasers suggests omnivision camera is so bad that gcam also fails to give a good photo on poco f5. but poco f5 photography group on telegram says otherwise.
50-50 for camera.
For aunt and mom, can consider Moto G54/G84, or M34/F34 from Samsung. Lava Agni 2 is a good option as well, with its near stock android but the 6.8 inch display can be a problem.
problem with edge 40 neo that battery endurance rating by GSMArena is very low 80h.
G54 is good device but inconsistent camera better on performance & battery side than Samsung m34.
Lava not now. Need long lasting mobile 4-5+ years.
S21 FE is decent, my uncle has it and he gets between 5.5 - 6 hrs of SOT with dark mode, non gaming usage and 60hz (sometimes switches to 120hz). Exynos 2100 is not as bad as people claim it to be. If it goes below 30k, get it blindly.
that is what I was trying to do earlier but suggestions are eye opener.
battery was a concern but now we decide to buy power bank too and keep it close.
Can you guess SOT considering above usage pattern on S21FE or S23FE.
I will not recommend high performance Samsung fab made SoCs. Do your research & take the call if you want to go for S21FE S888.
Some ROM and kernel releasers, suggesting these reasons
"production was stopped long back, you'll get old units, with degraded battery"
if i get degraded battery I can test it (using accubattery and battery guru apps) and replace it with new one from Samsung service center battery production not stopped, right?
I wanted to buy best camera and mediacore performance. it seems difficult with Samsung.
there is new vivo v29 pro released now. looks like camera device. 8200 soc
Moto has very slow updates, so old devices are an easy no because of software support. G84 will get 1 OS update & edge 40 will get 2.
edge 40 dropped now. low battery life. as per gsmarena. 80h battery endurance. and 98h for edge 40.
I don't want updates. As per my opinion, updates can cause problems. I update device only when existing software starts causing trouble. Then I download full update and install it manually.
And I am still using A10 custom rom which supports all apps. so new updates and those so called security updates does not matter.

I wanted to buy samsung as dad wanted stable custom ui. And samsung has not released any new 5g phone other than m34.
S730 is around S695 for performance. Compare M51 & G84 benchmarks.
S695 not significant improvement but will do.
I was also thinking to get G84, but we will be buying galaxy watch 4 or 5, LTE or bluetooth version whichever is cheaper.
I heard that its most compatible on galaxy devices, and for others you need extra apps and modded health app from XDA forum.
many new devices review will take time. till that time sale will be over. Yes I know that this is not the last sale and lowest prices can appear after sales too.
about poco f5, dad's current experience with poco x2 isn't that good. but he can buy f5.
Also FM radio basic thing missing. which usually used by dad.
Also considering poco X5 pro as many suggested camera is better in this one.
At the end you have to purchase it, so you have to put in some effort. Don't blindly believe anyone, including me. Even notebookcheck does some good reviews, but limited phone reviews. If not the same phone, check for phones with similar specs.
Okay. that will also do. I will try that checking again.

Currently decided devices are:

Aunt : iQOO Neo 7 pro
Sister : OnePlus 11R

they live in the same area so it will be easier for them to exchange their device without any problem, if they like each other's mobile.
How & Where to buy for the best deal? and what price I can expect.
should I pre-book or wait?

For S20FE, S21FE, aunt told me that she is comfortable with Power Bank. She can use power bank when necessary.
But only problem is HEAT developed. Charging will be done inside handbag and more heat will be developed from mobile and also from the power bank, will this be a problem?

Also suggest good powerbank 10000 mAh or 20000 mAh (₹2k below)
1. boat Energyshroom PB400 - 20000 mAh
2. boat EnergyShroom PB300 - 10000 mAh
3. Mi Power Bank 3i - 20000 mAh
4. Mi Power Bank 3i - 10000 mAh

Also extra cable for powerbank (₹100-200)

SD888 version?
I will also use the same for non gaming purpose.
It has the best update schedule till A16 also, in case it matters.
Updates doesn't matter for me.
Charging is painfully slow if one is used to fast-charging models. But the present phones that OP's family uses are not those 10min 50% charging types.
charging should be slow and for me it doesn't matter.
Why? check this.. https://t.me/acc_group/50404 (or goto group > type /notes > select health)
for op and family they did smart thing for faster charging, others are just increasing voltage and current which isn't good for any battery. So i'm happy with slow charging.
I think moto and samsung does have charge protection too, which slows down charging more after 80% for moto and 85% samsung. can anyone confirm this thing?
Cameras, which the OP specified for two users, are almost flagship level.
are these better than iqoo neo 7 pro and op 11r?
mentioned in post #12
Also as per @singenaadam s20 fe better in camera and battery compared to s21 fe (do correct me if i'm wrong)
what about s23 fe, as budget allows me to go at that price.
I'd honestly steer away from Samsung made Snapdragon chips. 2 of my friends have the S22 series, they're always on power saving mode (60hz, no 5g, CPU speed limited to 70%, no AOD, reduced brightness) just to last through a workday.

very limited budget.
Not much options left with camera + performance things.
Considering upcoming heavy android updates on SoC.

I would suggest the vivo x80 instead of oneplus 11r since it has better cameras and either the pixel 6a or 7a for your mom and aunt since they are the best point and shoot camera in your budget. Rest of the phones will struggle to capture moving subjects. they wouldn't be gaming and have a light usage so it wouldn't be pushing the Tensor SOC to heat up and also I don't think they'll notice the difference between 60 and 120hz which is a con for many people.

Zeiss optics
reminds me of nokia's legacy carl zeiss
battery backup very bad as per reviews. and there are green lines issues. updates causing hardware damage (explained by kernel dev) (fixed by laser treatment - high repair cost)
between casual to no gaming.
yes very light usage for aunt and above light usage for mom.
SoC is mediatek 9000 4mm as per gsmarena.
by default i will set 120hz and handover mobile to them.

do check newly released vivo v29 pro?

Wait for sale to begin.

No idea about S21FE situation, as mentioned, phone is not worth my time to me, not recommending it to anyone.

I was surprised with Edge 40 neo's battery life test of GSMArena as well. Edge 40 & G84 did well, D7030 is in general efficient, I think its rebadged D920. So maybe phone specific OS optimisations were poor.

Samsung's midrange is in a poor shape if you look closely. M34 can be considered for basic usage.

IF OS updates don't bother you, S20FE 5G is an easy recommendation over S21FE. Selfie cam ain't great.

Yes, charing with a power bank inside a bag with generate more heat.

For sister and father, I think Poco F5 should be your best option, since it ticks most of your boxes. There's not many other options on the market which brings good battery life and performance. That bigger display can help in MS Office as well. Consider the Nothing Phone 2 as well, it's another good phone with most of what you need. Heck, I'd say get the Phone 2 for everyone.

For the Poco F5 camera, watch this video-
. I've watched a few of his videos before, and they're quite informative.

Honestly, this whole battery debate is kinda stupid. I can't give an accurate estimation of the S21 FE's battery life, but from the reviews of the SD 888 version i've seen, expect it to last for a full day. Could be even more, since indicated usage is less. I'd suggest S21 FE for aunt alone. I had the S21 FE in my hands only for a short time, and I liked the whole flagship feel, UI and the design. I'd say that you dont overstress on it, get it for one family member alone, and see how it goes. You can't get any better with the camera either, unless you opt for the Pixel 6a.

Besides, if the chip won't cripple the battery life, fast charging will. Ive seen a phone with an amazing battery backup (realme narzo 30 to be exact) get reduced to a twice charge per day phone, courtesy of 33w charging. It's simple physics, and none can argue against it.

me too. but after checking multiple videos. shocked to see this.
moto's build quality is best in every range.

will this cause any problem? battery explode or something with power bank.
power bank suggestion?

will this cause any problem? battery explode or something with power bank.
power bank suggestion
Nothing like that will happen. Most Type A USB power banks will limit charging to 10w, that's extremely miniscule to generate sufficient heat to warm up even the enclosure of the power bank, let alone the surroundings. I use a 7 year old power bank right next to my PC to charge my phone, no problems whatsoever. As long as you get a reliable power bank, heat issues are nil. Get one from mi or anker.

Amazon never bothered about S21FE once FK took over the entire lot - FK was the only one who sold a lot of S21FE last year. The same may happen with the newly released S23FE once the official price cut by the manufacturer Amz may lose interest in selling them.
s21 fe showing coming soon ok fk.
no early access sell on fk?
