Intel Core i7 2600k ~ 16000/-

Gigabyte GA P67A UD4 B3-11,800/- OR Asus P8Z68-V DIGI VRM-12,500/- or Asus P8P67 DELUXE B3 / Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7-17000/-

CORSAIR Vengeance (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B) 4GB X 2 1600MHZ-3200/ or Gskill Ripjaws X 4GBX2 1600 MHZ-3200/-

to op..you won't be getting ide ports on any newer performance motherboards at least not with intel configuration...

so buy some ide to sata converters for your rig...

and for your rig get these:

core i7 2600k

asus p8p67 or p8z68 mobo

gskill ripjaws x 2x4gb 1600 mhz kit(don't take vengeance...)

corsair uses 2 kinds of memory modules on their vengeance memory series..(they use "nanya" and "hynix" modules out of these hynix are good but if you the unlucky one you might get the other "nanya" one..which are not good modules)..

whereas gskill uses best quality hynix modules in all their ripjaws x series....

Is MSI Z68 GD 65 - approx 11k to go with
will it support gskill ripjaws x 2x4gb 1600 mhz kit ?
2 pcie x18 slots of which 2nd one is of x8 speed.
Is it possible to insert x8 speed card/controller into that 2nd slot, other than a grafix card ?
Is MSI a good mobo brand ?

About asus p8z68 i could not find b3 revision sticker anywhere . is this ok?

the answer to all ur questions is yes!!!

z68 are newer chipset it does not have the old problem(sata problem) which the older p67 series chipsets had due to which they were recalled and b3 revisions were introduced :D

and btw some facts /corrections here

its pcie- x16 slots and not x18

secondly theres no such thing as 8x cards..its the slot which will run at reduced bandwidth(but at 8x also your card will run fine)...

msi recent mobos are gud..but i would say gigabyte and asus are better in the mobo department compared to msi(for long term saability etc etc)...

thank you thank you

2 pcie x18 slots of which 2nd one is of x8 speed.

it was a typo

i think there is X4 sata3 /IDE controller cards

will this fit in 2nd slot ?

Just want to know I might get them in future ?

And is it the same case with asus mobo also ?
