Thanx. Those seem like excellent suggestions. Will this rig be able to handle some HD video editing or should I go for an i5 quad core? Is the i3 future proof for at least 3-5 years?

I finally went and bought the following components from PrimeABGB in Lamington Road:

  • Cabinet - Antec X1 -2571,
  • PSU - Corsair CX500 - 3333 (The Seasonic sII 520 was again not available in any of the shops I asked, the PrimeABGB guy told me Seasonic products are no longer available - though they are listed online on Flipkart etc)

  • TOTAL -28,800.

Took me around 4-5 hours to assemble (while watching lots of youtube tutorials to make sure I would not make any mistake - it is my first self-assembled computer).

It's been 3 days and its is running well so far.
