Need a Smart Phone under 17 - 18k

Please suggest a good touchscreen smart phone.
A phone similar to the features of Samsung S8530 Wave, which costs around 18k
But the drawback of the phone is low battery life & BADA OS with less applications than the Android.

I have a list of options

1. Q: Budget?
A: 17 - 18k

2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar

3. Q: Preferred display type?
A: Any

4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Don't like Symbian phone

5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Required a 5MP camera or above. LED Flash.

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android. Have no idea about Bada or Microsoft OS 7. Any inputs.

8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G.

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Camera, mails and internet, Games.

10. Q: Any other requirements?
  • Video recording with above 720p quality.
  • Play MKV video and all other video formats above 720p.
  • TV out with HDMI
  • Google maps Navigation
  • 1 Ghz processor, High RAM - I guess 512 MB RAM
  • Display Size 3.2 in or above
  • Long battery life

Lol , you can get only samsung wave for that much as you want those features.. Galaxy 3 is there but 3.2mp no hd recording no playback too. Bada is great os. It lacks in applications , but seriously the hardware rock and the OS is not bad at all , smooth and don't lack like the shitty symbian, looks gr8 and you are getting the SUPER AMOLED ! or as bluffmaster said go and buy a second hand. ;)

Thanks for the reply guys. I think it is best now to go for the S8500 used phone, as new high end phones are coming up with dual core processors, 1080p video recording & many more features. So the current 1 Ghz phone might drop prices.
Can someone give some tips or checkpoints for buying a used phone.

I have come up with few points
- Must have a bill
- How to make sure if it is not a theft phone? Don't know how!!
- Condition of phone.
- Anything else ???
Also please suggest a best price for the used Samsung wave s8500.

^^^ Unless the seller has stolen the phone from a person, followed that person to his home, broken into the home at night and stolen the bill as well... Lolzzz :p

@ OP: I would suggest u get the new Samsung Wave II instead of getting the used Wave S8500.

Whatever are u gonna do with a dual core proccy on the phone anyway?? Play Crysis 2 on it....!!! Lolzzz :p
