This is my shopping list for my new pc that i'm getting soon.

£84.59 : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.60GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail

£111.61 : HIS ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ 3 V2 TURBO SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

£43.46 : Asus M2V (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

£23.49 : Crucial 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 PC2-4200C4 Dual Channel Kit

looks like you have the dough for c2d setup. Any particular reason that you chose Am2 setup over c2d?. And also, do you overclock?
 
i think amd setup is better for gaming. also 8800s are out of my price range, as the total price that i posted is pretty much the absolute max that i can spend. and no i don't overclock.
 
u rather go for tht 8800gts 320mb... and seriously think abt considering c2d.

even if u dont overclock. it beats most of the amds in its price range.
