i got exactly the same camera and in this thread i gave the same title....what a coincidence....
man u have murdered that photo???? use iso 800 and use small f value(wide aperture) and long shutter speed and use tripod the pic will come good.....
read some guides a book by scot kelby it will help understand the basics....

But hey take a better photograph of the Honk Kong skyline mate, I remember spending a lot of time gawking at the skyscrapers in HKG back when I was there.
