If this is wht u gonna do then i wud go with Hp especially when there is difference of 10k between da 2 lappy...Hp config is more then enuf for all doz work except for 1gb ram,get atleast 2GB ram...better screen, better sound compared 2 Dell!!Turion TL58 wud suffice ur need!!

But the DELL he mentioned also has-

9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
Pair of Dell Bluetooth Headphones Free. worth 2K
And DELL service is very good as seen in various posts.

how much can they bargain as i want to purchase a dell 1525 they r nothing giving any discount only please suggest how to make them come down in their prices.

I ordered my Dell 1525 with config mentioned above. The original price was 44K. When you call customer care, tell them you need some discount you want to talk to manager or let him talk to manager. Then keep asking repeatedly.

When I ordered, the original price was 44K. He gave 1.5K discount, then if you are a software engineer or from a corporate office, tell them you want corporate discount (he will give 3% discount but you have to give photocopy of your office ID). The total after discount was 39.5K from 44K, in Bangalore.

If you are in Delhi or nearby, send me a mail at matrix_ashwin [at] yahoo [.] com
I can refer to someone who can get you the above laptop for around 35K.
