This build will be a gift to my brother....He doesnt want a discrete GPU....

But he wants to fit in a i5...I said i will try.I got 3 choices:

1] intel i3 2100
2] intel i5 2400
3] AMD llano
and 4/8gb fast ram

The Llano would cost even more since the cheapest A75 mobo costs ~5.5k. The HD5670+G620 will outperform Llano A8 in games. If HD5670 512MB GDDR5 is not available you can go for a HD6570 1GB DDR3 ~ 3.8k.

For UPS you can opt for a Numeric 600VA ~ 1.5k or APC 600VA ~ 1.9k depending on your budget. Exceeds your budget a bit but its the cheapest half decent gaming rig that you can get along with an UPS.

but PDC wont serve his needs....he needs atleast an i3(he says)

he will use vmware,animation,photoshop,software dev,dwnlding etc...

If he wants to do all of the above, its better to wait for bulldozer instead of jumping on the intel bandwagon.

Also the PDC is no slouch. Its only ~20% slower in single threaded apps. Only -ve is that no support for quick sync, htt.
