I bought a LG 27UD68-B last week for 32k in bangalore. The customer support most definitely doesn't know crap. Even the MRP on the box is around 45.

S.P Road? Which shop? Any online site or contact number?
Got it from Golcha. They did mention limited stock. They also have it listed on their website at 30,999 (comes to 32 inclusive of taxes). So far I'm loving it. Has a bit warmer colors out of the box but that can be adjusted. Been playing Far Cry primal at 1440p and CS GO at 2160p. Been super amazing so far.

I have heard issues about panel quality, colour bleeding around edges and that the matt coating on top makes the screen look bad. Your experience?

I believe you meant light bleeds. It is as much as any other IPS panel. And you will see the bleed only if you put a fully black scene on it. I use the monitor for gaming and photo editing and have been more than happy so far. Matt coating is quite subjective. I personally like it since it makes the panel very nonreflective. The only downside I can say is the bad color calibration. But i use a custom ICC profile and tweaked color temperature from OSD. Now I have a perfectly calibrated monitor. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your feedback. Can I also know how to properly calibrate a monitor? Is there an article that explains it well? Do you need any additional special tools?

First I'd suggest you to play around with the on screen settings of the monitor i.e. change the color temperature, contrast, gamma etc. If nothing helps then reset the monitor settings to default and follow below

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm

You can refer to the above article to understand how to install a custom ICC profile. I'd suggest you to use the ICC profile for Samsung U28D590D. It'd give you the perfect calibration.
