Less than 10K (Lenovo A269i) Basic phone w/ whatsapp & youtube .

Friends wife, using a 10" tablet, too heavy for daily use, hence would like a secondary device for talking whatsapp and prefereably youtube!

1. Budget?
A: 3-5K
2. Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Any
3. Preferred display type?
A: as crisp as poassible, although only indoor usage
4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Would avoid the micromax, lava type as far as possible
5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: touchscreen preffered, although hard keys can be considered
6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: any
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: litereally any one will do!!! usage is strictly limited to talking texting and whatsapp. Youtube would be a BONUS!
8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 2g/3g . if wifi hotspot option is available then youtube is not required. As she can run youtube on her tablet with wifi hotspot on her mobile
9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: talking texting and whatsapp. Youtube would be a BONUS!
10. Any other requirements?

Have recently bought moto e myself for a family member(dad), its good!
but again its being used just for talking he hardly uses any apps or any other functionality like gps etc...
so i get a feeling that its not being utilised optimally...

so just wanted to confirm if someone wants a phone just for talking whatsapp and youtube, is moto e still the best bet?[DOUBLEPOST=1405316443][/DOUBLEPOST]Any views on nokia asha series?

Please stay away from the Asha series. Unless you do not mind a handicapped device.

Why not the newer a269i then. Available for 3200. I would advise against both though (a60+ and a269i) as the screen density is very low ~165ppi and you might get disappointed while reading text. No one likes blurriness. I would rather advise you to spend a 1000 more and get lenovo a369i (220 ppi) or even better Moto E.

thanks @srkmish for the input on screen clarity...
but i am still looking for a phone just for talking and watsapp (youtube was earlier desired but now...:( ) i dont want to spend 7k for just that..

moto e is definetly a complete smartphone on budget...
