Laptops Laptop with good configuration but wihtout Preinstalled OS

Hello folks !!!

I want to buy a laptop with good configuration (not hi-fi graphics card) for my academic use. But one thing which is really sucking in Indian market is that I am not able to find any laptop without preinstalled OS, as I mostly use Linux so i don't want to pay 2.5 or 3k for just OS.

can any body suggest me. I am from India.
