What kind of sound improvement are you looking for?

Stuff like dynamat is quite costly. The mods are simple though.

Thanks for the mini-review Im looking for new headphones within 5k range, will keep RX900 aside.
Though if mod improves it, i may consider.

These mods won't improve the soundstage. They should reduce the bass bloat which should also lead to clearer mids.

A sheet of dynamat costs about 2k.........

^^ one doesn't necessarily need to use Dynamat.
I had seen someone else's thread on H-fi where they were using some kinda simple rubbery sheet. The sort that gets laid on counter tops to make them skid proof.
