just stumbled across this while googling for something.just saw that it is open source.But i'm curious to know what can we do with it?

you can create full fledged websites with joomla ...! Its a Content management system (CMS), and very powerfull too. You can create good looking, fully functional websites using Joomla without much trouble. The learning curve for Joomla isnt steep either.

Joomla is a content management system (CMS). It can be used to make full fledged websites will little or no knowledge of PHP/SQL. Many plugins and themes are available for Joomla. If you are familiar with Wordpress then it's something similar to that
