PC Peripherals Is Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 good enough for gaming?

I had bought a Razer orochi about two months back online but it proved to be a mistake the mouse is just too small. I tried saving up for a Razer mamba but the new dual sensor one is not available in India also spending 7-8K on a mouse does not make much sense.

The Microsoft 5000 desktop combo is available for a fraction of that and the mouse is big and comfortable but here is where my confusion starts according to the specs from the tech specs:

Imaging Rate
Dynamically adaptable to 8000 frames per second
X-Y Resolution
988 points per inch (38.9 points per millimeter)
Tracking Speed
Up to 72 inches (1828.8 millimeters) per second

Microsoft 5000 product page - http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-in/p/wireless-comfort-desktop-5000/CSD-00021#overview

Does that mean the DPI is 988?? Does the blue tracking system relay less on DPI than the old red one? Will it be enough for games like Crysis 3?

The old Mamba which is available in India has 5400Dpi and the new one has 6400dpi. If anyone has used Microsoft 5000 mouse or something similar do let me know what you think about the gaming characteristics.

I bought a Razer Mamba from SMC but the problem is that out of the two sensors one does not show any lights at all. There are suppose to be two sensors one blue the other red, i think the red is laser and the blue is optical. The blue sensor is working but not the red one i cant see any red light on the surface or the bottom of the mouse.

The mouse it self is working fine even the software is working fine, i can toggle DPI settings with ease. Anyone with some know how about the 4G system give some pointers.

Laser sensor used in most optical mice is invisible, or at least nearly invisible.

Ignore the graphics on the website, it is just to advertise the presence on Laser in the Mouse.
