CPU/Mobo Is Asus offloading a lot of mobos in India??

Hi everybody,

Yesterday during my visit to Lamington road, I asked around for the latest prices of the e6400 proccy and 965 based mobos since I intend to purchase them in the first week of December.

A few of the dealers were readily suggesting Asus and one dealer went to the extent of offering me an Asus p5B at 10K without any haggling.:hap2:

Is this due to high availability or is there some thing more to this? My first instinct when somebody pushes something I like, is to head for a forum or do some googling even if the product really appeals to me...

Was it a P5B or P5B Deluxe? If its the latter its a great deal, if its the former, its a rip off .

It was for the one with the wifi coz I asked him for the p5b with wifi..

BTW Chaos, I see from your rig that you have the p5b dlx....can this board also double up as a wirelss router?

Yes it can but I don't use it that way... I have a netgear for that job and eats a lot less power than my rig
