there i get this error saying that u must be running winxp or 2k to install this sw

the installer doesnt load in compatiblity mode.. and im stuck trying to install the program....

any help.. i have heard of a way to install such apps just dont kno where i came across it...

which 64bit os ur using? vista 64bit or xp 64bit?

the program might not be compatible with certain os and hence the msi was designed to detect the os at launch.

forcing a program not designed for ur os will result in corrupting ur system files and registry.

if the above is ok with u, u can try installing it in command mode with /? switch to get additional command line options for installing.

Try it at your own risk! And just backup your comp before doing this!!

Edit: btw what is this nok sw updater? is it a nokia software updater or what?

nok sw updater

didn't understand the software name. say the name of the software properly. it came with MSI so not pirated (may be OEM or Trial) so don't desitate to name it.

its nokia software updater
there is no trial or demo

its designed for windows xp...
and im using windows xp x64 edition..

i have seen it somewhere on the net around the time when xp x64 was launched...

oh ! I have little idea about it......

BTW, nokia s/w are based on JAVA (saw it from a friend), so it shouldn't be any problem as long as you have proper version of JRE.

Which version of Nokia PC Suite ur using to upgrade the phone firmware?
