How is the nokia C5 ?... Owners chip in with your reviews

With 3G launch around the corner from private players , i am contemplating buying a 3g phone now.
By the looks of 8k budget, i can see the SE cedar, Se zylo, and the nokia C5.
The comments on those on gsmarena suggests the nokia C5 hangs a lot, the zylo slider tends to damage the screen,
And seems that SE can only make good bar phones.
They suck at phone mechanism involving slider, flap etc.
So thinking of nokia C5 as an option.
Users using the nokia or the above mentioned phones please mention the pros and cons of the phones you had.

Yes, Nokia E5 is armed with much enhanced features than Nokia C5.

Nokia C5 has a 3.15 MP camera of 2048 x 1536 pixels but the 5 MP camera on the Nokia E5 is better and has 2592 x 1944 pixel resolution. The battery of the E5 is far more advanced than that of C5. It has 3G support with triple band of HSDPA while Nokia C5 works dual bands only.

So E5 is it available and for how much?
I just thought of C5 because it fits the budget and it can support speed excess of 7 mbps.
Primarily used for 3g more than anything else that is on the go, or for sync with pc etc.
And i m not quite liking the touch screen concept for i do text a lot.

i own a C5 and i havnt had hanging issues till date.it is the best in the budget.

pros:super cool keypad(one of best for texting),

looks(its way better in real than pics),

display color(vibrant),

ergonomics(just perfect in hands),

battery life(havent charges for past 3 days even after exploring features for couple of hours everyday)

sound(real good when compared to a music edition phone)

works well in 3g(using front cam and net)

cons:display (could have been bigger since it runs on S60)

sound(a tad lower when kept flat as the speakers are behind)

display(not great under direct sunlight)

How was it on the connectivity front. I tried my sisters nokia 523O in 3g it got hot too quickly.
Then tried my moms Se T7OO which was cooler even when put on 3g for an hour for downloading data.
btw it does charge from the USB right?

Yes it does charge from the USB port.

Hanging issues are solved after the new firmware update.

The price these days is around 7.4k - 7.5k.

If you budget is 11k-12k, consider the E5 / E52, else this is the one for you.

E5 is right now for 10800 at ebay with option of choosing 200gb hdd or micromax q1 as diwali gift

Got a C5 for 7.55k locally.
Happy with the phone upto now :)
No show off because i do not have a proper camera :ashamed:

also suggest me some apps (i am new at S60v3 front):ashamed:
