I got the 6xx which is comparable to the 650 and the sundaras as well. To my ears the 6xx sounds warmer. Though i have not any EQs on the Sundaras - the general opinion is that these perform well with EQs. The Sundaras do have a better soundstage but not as pronounced as the AKG 712s which i use while gaming.

Really interested in the opinion of someone who’s listened to both the 650s and the planars… what do you think sounds warmer? Without being too fussy about a dac/amp setup?
The 650 is undeniably warmer, it has a more "intimate" feel to the vocals, and more pleasing in general (probably in part due the Sennheiser "veil")

This on the other hand, is much more "crisp" (and fast) and "analytical", soundstage is significantly better
That crispiness and fastness makes a really big difference and also makes it a bit addictive imo (along with the soundstage)
Maybe I should do a detailed comparison/opinion sometime
