Alright, Requesting to members to be apolitical and participate in this cause.

As you know, Nepal Earthquake is one of the largest disasters in the Himalayan nation taking life's of nearly 5,000 people, While this figure is expected to go up to 10,000.
Indian Government is other side is trying hard to rescue people from India as well as from other countries including the Nepal victims.

Most of us cannot directly help those victims even though you want to. Say donating clothes, essential supplies Etc.

Facebook is asking for user donations to support people waiting for help, so that they can donate up to $2million.
We don't know what happens with the money donated through Facebook, I feel its high time we support fellow country by donating to Prime Minister National Relief fund, Which will in turn will help the Earthquake Victims.

Can't we donate a little of amount of Rs.100 (or more depending on your capability) towards PM Relief fund.https://pmnrf.gov.in/

Personally i have done a little contribution as much i could. It's up to the Indians to help the neighboring country in their Grief.

Donations can be done through Debit card, Net banking. Which most of them can i believe.

Also, Other methods are:

Cheque or demand draft drawn in favour of the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund or Contributions can also be sent to Prime Minister’s Office, South Block, New Delhi via post/money order from any of the Post Offices, without any charges.

Check here for more info: http://pmindia.gov.in/en/pms-funds/

Note: Donation made towards PM Relief fund are exempt from Income Tax under section 80(G).

Your donation could be small, but it will be a Big help!

I didnt. due to few reasons.
1. every donation is asking too many details. is there a way where money can be donated anonymously? or at least a privacy statement that they will not give out my details?
2. PM relief fund's clause is not acceptable to me. "PMNRF provides relief only to the citizens of India. Hence contributions wherein the donor mention that the amount is meant for the foreign citizens/calamities abroad, are not accepted in the Fund."

AFAIK, PM Relief Fund is a generic fund which is used to help victims during calamities in India. We have no control over how those funds get used. For instance, people may be donating for helping Nepal, but we have no clue if and how much would be granted for Nepal earthquake victims or whether the people end up getting the help or the help remains on paper records only.

Personally, I prefer authentic targeted funds where there is higher likelihood of the donation being actually helpful in practicality is high. Usually, corporates like ours set up targeted fund collections whenever possible. For instance, sometime back, when Visakhapatnam and few other places were ravaged by cyclone, donations were collected to buy food items and blankets and trucks were arranged to take them to Vizag for distribution during the time the help was actually needed.

@booo I guess you have Credit cards, you have option to donate via Facebook.
PM Fund cannot take anonymous donations, because of the Tax Exemption thing.

@Lord Nemesis PM relief fund doesn't donate money directly in every case, they buy supplies and send it to the victims.
Yes, you cannot demand them to use for specific purpose, because they might use it for any disaster which might come in future.

It's a Welcome move if you are donating to the Specific NGO's who are helping nepal victims.

Here are few:
1. Goonj (Delhi based) - http://goonj.org/?p=23313
2. Times Group - FabIndia - http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Times-cares-Reach-out-aid-Nepal/articleshow/47074740.cms
3. EsgIndia ( Bangalore based) - http://www.esgindia.org/campaigns/press/massive-earthquake-nepal.html

Others mentioned in this link: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Times-cares-Reach-out-aid-Nepal/articleshow/47074740.cms

Or to Nepal PM :

The group which handles charity/humanitarian aid in my company is collecting donations from employees to buy food, first aid material and other necessities and hand them to fabindia to be sent to Nepal.

They have also provided details about a bank account where monetary donations can supposedly be made specifically for Nepal aid efforts. This is supposedly an Indian account held maintained by Nepal Embassy.
You can make direct contribution to Nepal PM's Disaster Relief Fund by transferring the money to the following Indian account:

Account Name: Embassy of Nepal (Relief fund)
Account No: 2254002100018449
Swift Code: PUNBIBBDOB
IFSC Code: PUNB0225400
Punjab National Bank

I want anonymous way of donating. I dont care about taxation. FB really?

I dont want to donate to PM fund even if they provide anonymous donations because of the clause I mentioned in the above post. It clearly states that it provides relief to "Indian only" afaik, nepalese are "not indians".

^^ Well, while I am not the religious type, I like the verse found in several religious books about not letting your left hand know when your right hand is giving something for others.

So, I too used to like donating anonymously, but these days, NGO's themselves are not very trustworthy. When donating to an NGO at least, I would like to get a receipt and the tax certificate from them even if I am not interested in getting the tax exemption or having my name credited in some report book of theirs
