1of my 2 HDD's wasnt getting detected in my new upgraded system :mad:

so i tried to check all sata and power cables. Tried changing all cables.

I found that my HDD is not spining up.
Its a 2 yr old Seagate 250 GB HDD ST3250820SV.
Can this HDD be fixed ? :(

I spent 2 days to verify it just wont spin

The other Seagate HDD works with the same cables and the same sata port.

Tried all 6 sata ports on the motherboard.
I also bought a new WD 500GB HDD after this stopped working that also works with he same cables.
Do u also get data recovery in rma or just replacement ?
Can someone give me the address of seagate service center in mumbai ?

Seagate can provide u ur data too but will charge a huge amount for that, but if u want just a HDD without data then simply get it RMAed and for service centers just go to its official website, u'll surely get their RMA center's address.

no data recovery by SEAGATE... only Replacement... tats Seagatepolicy in INDIA unlike USA

May be reason behind that policy is, Seagate knows in India 80% of computer users dont know importance of PSU :p

@OP

Can you through some light on SMPS in use ?

I have corsair vx450 . i got good psu :bleh:

and i found the address in another thread in the forums. But the members who posted in that thread did not have a good experience with seagate rma :(.
