Storage Solutions Hard Drive for Pentium 4

I have an old pentium 4 PC with Intel original motherboard.
I want to know whether the currently available hard drives will be compatible with P4.
I am planning to upgrade the PC to 500 GB.
 
Compatibility doesn't depend on processor, it depends on the chipset on your motherboard. What motherboard? Any SATA ports? CPU-Z can help answer those questions.
 
If no SATA port is available, you will need a IDE<-->SATA converter or a PCI card with the same. Ensure that if you are using XP, use a custom version with the SATA drivers for the PCI card.
