If you have headphones with pleather ear pads and your ears and around the ears start sweating after some time due to the heat, just put a mask over the headphone earpads. Remove the plastic nose piece from the mask first. Then you can stretch it over the ear pads and use the mask loops to tighten it to the back of the headphone. There is no difference in audio quality. The mask acts like a breathing fabric for the ear and allows air to cool the ear.
It worked for me. Since summer will start soon in sharing this hoping it helps others having a similar problem.

It depends from person to person. Some sweat even in 15 degree while some wont even at 50c. Sweating even occurs due to irritation from the ear pads quality. Some material suits skin while some irritates resulting in redness and sweating. This can even cause mild infection in few cases.

Sure. The masks used are similar to this mask.

Edit: I hit the reply button before taking pics.

The headphone earpads are custom handmade and fatter than the factory default earpads. I'm bad at stitching so you can see the haphazard way I've stitched the earpads.(٥↼_↼)
Edit: earpads without the mask on.

Aah.. the SR950. This and the 850 are probably the best options in that price range. Nice jugaad and good way to reuse those masks.

How long until you have to replace the masks? at some point, they will be saturated.

For hygiene reasons, I think you should replace these masks periodically as warm and moist makes a good home for germs.

Even in 31C weather these don't get saturated with sweat because the ears and hair don't sweat so much.
The fabric allows air to pass through it. If the headphone clamping pressure is high or you press the ear cups to your head, then you can feel some warmth near the ears and you will sweat after sometime.
My house is very dusty and these get dirty very soon.
I wash them in my washing machine twice a week. Max I've seen them last is 3 to 4 washes. After that the fabric breaks. So a pair of new masks every two weeks.

That's a cool idea to stitch your own earpads. The ones available online are either duplicate ones or straightaway too costly. May I know the choice of materials here?

Materials used were the sponges from the original earpads plus extra sponges from the duplicate ones and normal sofa pleather piece which I bought for 400 rupees. And normal needle and thread.
Used 3m double sided tape to stick the earpads to the speakers. I try to use as cheap stuff as possible.
