Not running any 64 bit OS at the moment at least on my home rig. Currently on Win XP SP3 32 Bit, Vista SP1 32 Bit (in addition Ubuntu 8.10 and Mandriva 2009 through virtual box). I am just saying that the RAM is selling so cheap that I can afford to get another 4GB GSkill 4GBPQ kit and install Vista 64 Bit just for the heck of trying it out. I mean $45 is like 2.2k :p

True... the 4gb requirement DOES NOT EXIST.

ive checked whether my system is capable of high settings?

My system is good enuf - although im on 2gb RAM, n the e7200 is also enuf for it as i shall OC it to 3.6GHz to get max FPS :) Heres a Screenshot of official Comparison - My System Vs. GTA 4

The question here is not just to run but to max it at high resolutions like 1680x1050 etc.

These reports might be fake , its just a discussion.

People don't spend thousands of rupees to buy expensive pc peripherals just to play the games but to max it for eye candy.

yea its simple...

XP: 2GB is enuf - Jst keep it Smooth(Corsair/OCZ low latency high mhz RAM)

Vista: no 4GB yet? high time u get an upgrade..(Vista gulps huge RAM without a burp)

AND....

Plz make sure u hav a 8800gt/9800gt/HD4850 atleast.....

Palit 9600gt 512mb ddr3
2x1Gb at 800MHz Transcend Jetram.

@Joy1: I said to my friend while playing COD4, "Look how realistic the ground looks you can see the rocks and everything." Didn't notice that I came out of cover and died due to a headshot.

don't worry ..it will run in high..your system can run almost all games available including crysis in high settings with some AA but @ 1280x1024

exception ..if gta4 turns out to be a bad port ........then nothing we can do

2gb ram e6600 and 8800gt can any one speculate how well this game will run on this config

We don't exactly know for sure , but as per these reports which might be fake as well you'll be able to run it at medium only.

Although system requirements as per Rockstar , you're pc comes under recommended specs except the cpu.

As we have seen , the Crysis recommended specs still can't max Crysis at higher 720p and 1080p resolutions.

Never played GTA: SA; played GTA: VC for a couple of mins and unintsalled. :ashamed:

GTA4 is the first PC game utilise quad cores and it also features a higher visibility range and the possibility to set the resolution up to 2,560 x 1,600. If you want the maxx settings then you might need to upgrade your hardware.

Same RAM rumor had been spread for assassins creed ! No big deal ! If Xbox360/Ps3 can play this thing then any core2 CPU with nvidia 8xxx gfx can easily handle it.
