I have the ATH M50. Is the SR 80i a significant upgrade?

^^ Its a side grade. Two opposite sound signatures.The M50 is closed headphones with great bass and a slightly dark sound singature.

The SR 80i is an open headphone with excellent treble and mids and a sound signature thats on the brighter side of neutral.

If you get both then each headphone can compliment the other depending on your choice of genre that you are listening to at the time.

As Brendon mentioned , it has a totally distinct Gradio signature sound . Detailing wise it must be on par / slightly better especially in terms of treble .

I have no audio on one of the channels on my 325i.
