what i see from the picture is that the RAMs are probably not getting proper air supply. Better check on that. Also to solve your heat sink screw-spring problem, you could get an aftermarket gpu cooler. probably not the most cost effective, but will do the job and probably let you use the card a little longer.
P.S: by RAMs i mean RAM on the graphics card. They are generally below the heat sink which i think is marked by the white circular line on your GPU
