Graphic Cards GPU cleanup gone wrong

what i see from the picture is that the RAMs are probably not getting proper air supply. Better check on that. Also to solve your heat sink screw-spring problem, you could get an aftermarket gpu cooler. probably not the most cost effective, but will do the job and probably let you use the card a little longer.
P.S: by RAMs i mean RAM on the graphics card. They are generally below the heat sink which i think is marked by the white circular line on your GPU
 
The stock cooler wasnt in contact with the ram chips either
Wats the choice for aftermarket coolers? No luck finding any online...
