Delhi (asia-south2) zone is now active on Google cloud, hopefully more cloud providers follow suit (with cheaper/free options like oracle cloud, DO etc )

Really helpful for latency sensitive usage for NCR users

From what I understand, you can basically use multiple applications of google cloud & use their different compute servers as well as deploy your own services/applications on them. Now that they are available in in Delhi, folks in North India will improve much improved latencies. This was already available in Mumbai, it has now been added in Delhi as well.

This is amazing. Finally a large cloud provider having Delhi servers.

Delhi is relatively more seismically active than other data center regions. This has been (one of)a big sticking point in terms of uptime and redundancy requirements. Most large cloud providers are in mumbai/chennai/bangalore. This is a massive boost for those in north India who have latency sensetive applications. Looks like Google has done their calculations and seems it's worth it to make a data enter at Delhi.
