I had been looking for modding stuff from sunbeam for a very long time for a few other friends and myself
But i was pretty unsuccessful till now
So finally I have managed to arrange import of products from sunbeam into India
And the initiative is by me
So I have also extended this offer to fellow TE mates who might also be looking for similar modding stuff for their own modding needs
This is a totally non-profit go and i will be paying the same amount for my stuff as everyone of you out there

Great effort in that huge thread. :thumb:

I have sunbeam ccfls and they indeed glow brighter and make my DFI slots glow brighter than my logisys ones. :D
So gave away my logisys tubes. :p

I am very much interested in the laser LEDs, 3.5" superior panel(been wanting one for ages as i didnt want to waste one 5.25" bay- and more so now since my VIP Super Lanboy:rofl:has no front ports ) and few other stuff. :)

Will have to save a lil before i take a dig at those- but after i clear off my present debts. :ashamed:

good work gaurav.. though i guess it would be a lot more helpfull if you could share some more info with the rest of us out here. How exactly are you getting this stuff done?

Do they have a distry here in India? Or, are YOU gonna be importing the stuff. Will there be any warranty? implied or otherwise..

Good questions but you surely could have made it sound better- especially if you are really interested in buying something. :)
But does it really matter and how much more helpful will it be if-
-the prices are ok and you get a bill if i am not mistaken. :)
-Usually no warranty on imported stuff- and in case you get it- it's like having your cake and eating it too. :cool2:

Do we look/worry for warranty when we get a gpu from USA for way lesser tham local prices?;)
-if it arrives here on the back of a camel, in a container, someones baggage or shipped through speed post/Fedex? :rofl:

Or for that matter if say GT is importing it or i am. :p

no offence to anyone.. but ive just been finding gauravs posts a lil bit 'mysterious' of late :p :p he posts stuff wid a bit of information missing and doesn reply bac for long periods of time..

it would be great if sunbeam stuff were to become avail WID warranty in India.. so i guess there aint anything wrong in me asking about that..

on your doubt about whether im interested in buying stuf.. well am most definitely interested.. and have been reading up on some reviews for thier cabbys... not to mention i was one of the first ppl to reply to his IC thread. :)

PLUS not to mention.. i might go YOUR way as far as the CCFLS are concerned.. coz i have logisys ccfls now :p

nd i was wondering about how he's getting the stuff.. coz he's been talking abt cabinets too. I remember talking to a coupla marketing fellows at abacus a while back about getting cabinets and they were talking about how lil business sense it makes coz they have to place orders for lots of 1000 nd all sorts of bs...

am a bit of a curious person as you might or might not have gleaned from my queries :p

p.s - where do i mention in that post that i wanna become a mod ????? :S

i really think someone needs to take action.. reporting is going to work only wen the mods are actually free..

why not have a thread in the market section, where a list 'infractions' can be maintained... the mods can jus keep track of this.. nd if it goes beyond a particular limit.. jus ban that person from the market.. this could be a temp ban or a perm ban.. as is appropriate..

i really think that bans are the only 'proper' way to deal with this issue..

nd if the current mods think that they are coming under too much strain wid the added resposibility, am sure there will be a lot of other peeps willing step in and help out.. (Myself included )
