Getting started with Home Media Server?

Please suggest an app (for Fire TV Stick, NVidia Shield or Android TV) to view pictures stored on my NAS.
ES File Explorer or Vimu
vimu if you use, you will forget using VLC (which sucks in every platform, and it big no-no for android/iOS ecosystem.)
ES is a mother app.. it plays pic/movies/music, documents etc.
once installed, these will automatics show your NAS drive under network option, just navigate to your picture folder for the first time bookmark.
can use remote to navigate next <--> previous.

So firestick 4k max could come at 3499 during this sale. My frnd already has Samsung smart tv tizen based os and he's thinking whether to get it or not.

Also, any idea about firestick 4k max vs google chromecast 4k? Both seem to be older devices anyway.

CCwGTV is a better device overall. Google also has slightly fewer restrictions than Fire TV does. If you can get it, you should.

I personally prefer Fire stick's remote better. And inertia, I started using it, so now I don't feel like switching. But that won't matter for a new user. It also works with Alexa, which I have 2 of.

Will go for whichever deal is better. 4k max at 3599, chromecast 4k is almost 6k without offer price, will have to see once sale starts.
