Guyz I have finalized the following components for my new gaming PC which I am planning to buy next week:

Processor:Intel Core i5 2500k
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68 V Pro
CPU Cooler: CM Hyper N620
RAM: G.Skill 2X4 GB Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM
Graphic Card: Sapphire HD6970 Lightning or GTX 570 Twin Frozer III (if available)
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200.12
DVD Writer: LG 22X SATA DVD
PSU:Corsair TX850 V2
Case: Lian Li Lancool K58W
Monitor: DELL ST2220L @ 8.7K
UPS: APC 1.1KVA @ 4.3K

I am new here in Pune so don't know from where should I buy these components and I have been told by many people that rates here will be higher than Mumbai due to octroi duties and all, so I thought I will buy these components from Mumbai itself. Now I have these questions:

Will I still be charged with octroi duties if I will bring the components form Mumbai to Pune? If answer is yes what are your suggestions ? Is there any way to avoid octroi duties?

Should I buy the components from Pune itself, for this I will need pointers to shops and phone numbers. Is there any shop that has prices at par with Lamington Road ?

Also after answering my above queries please comment on my rig :bleh:

Thanks in advance

Well check out few shops like S Tech computers, Burhani Computers, Mahicomp, DCC etc. Google them, you'll get the address and phone number. You wont get the exact lamington road prices.

And why LG DVD writer ?? From my experience Sony DVD writers are more reliable in long run.

Rig seems perfect for the budget :)

Most of the components are better ordered online. For CPU and Mobo you can get it from the shops mentioned by @abhifusion.

check this for monitors-http://www.testfreaks.co.uk/monitors/?sort=score

i think dell U2311h or dell UltraSharp U2211H should be good and Get sennheiser hd 202 or Steelseries 3H.

Where are you located in Pune....?

You can get everything locally, and at very comparable rates to Mumbai, no need to travel there.

I would like to make some changes in your already decided rig...

Processor Intel Core i5 2500k 10800
Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro 11500
RAM G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz CL9 2x2GB 2600
GPU MSI HD6970 Lightning / 2 x MSI HD6850 Cyclone PE 22500 / 19600
HDD Seagate 7200.12 1TB 2700
Cabinet NZXT Tempest EVO 5500
Monitor Dell U2311H 13800
PSU Corsair TX 850 V2 6500
Keyboard Razer Arctosa 2000
Mouse Razer Deathadder 2100
Mousepad Razer Goliathus Speed Edition Omega 500
Speakers Altec Lansing VS2621 1500
DVD Writer Samsung 950
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12P SE2 3750
Total 86700 / 83800

4GB Ram is more than enough for gaming so i really dont think that you should waste your money on 8GB ram... And dont buy P8Z68 V Pro unless you need Intel QuickSync or SSD caching feature... by going with P8P67 Pro you would be able to save 2.5k

Processor:Intel Core i5 2500k Right

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68 V Pro I would get a MSI Z68 if possible

CPU Cooler: CM Hyper N620, get Hyper Plus 212

RAM: G.Skill 2X4 GB Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM fine

Graphic Card: Sapphire HD6970 Lightning or GTX 570 Twin Frozer III (if available), if you want to save money get a 6950 OC 2gb for 15500 or so, much cheaper and just like 15-20% or slower. Upgrade to 7 series at the end of the year.

HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200.12, will be less perhaps

DVD Writer: LG 22X SATA DVD

PSU:Corsair TX850 V2, get a seasonic if possible

Case: Lian Li Lancool K58W, coolermaster is good and may save money

Monitor: DELL ST2220L @ 8.7K, get dell 23" for 9900

UPS: APC 1.1KVA @ 4.3K

A little off-topic opinion: Spending 80K+ on a mid 2011 rig and not considering an SSD is a crime imho. Think over it if you can.
