Nvidia is going to quietly launch a GeForce 9800GT "Green Edition" in mid-March. The "Green Edition" has a lower GPU voltage, and consequently slower clockspeeds. The core clock looks set to be reduced from 600 to 550MHz, while the shader clock will be decelerated from 1500 to 1375MHz.

It seems that this card requires no external power unlike the current 9800 GT card which requires a 6-pin auxiliary power. This is due to the fact that this 9800 GT Green card draws only 75W of power compared to 105W currently. The card comes with a revised P360 PCB that has 512MB GDDR3 memories clocked at 900MHz. You should be seeing this card on the shelves by mid of next month.

Seems good news for NVIDIA lovers ;) :bouncingsmiles:

I dont think this will happen.

as when they say 75W it means maximum 75W , so seems there is still scope for OC , as you can do with 4670 (if anyone done comment here).

Even in my opinion ATI rocks. ;)
