Monitors e-IPS monitor for 10K- yes its real

just great, bought a dell 23" TN panel monitor recently:( and you are posting it now. By the way is it available online....

anyone has this? hows the colour reproduction and viewing angles?

also tech specs show it uses blue led instead of white led. how much difference will this make on picture quality?

5ms gray to gray kinda worries me. Also, what's the warranty on this? I was thinking of getting a benq but those low lifes have an unfair warranty policy exclusive to india. It says, warranty is valid from date of purchase or 3 months from manufactured date whichever is earlier. WTF!!

Saw a couple of boxed units of this monitor alongwith its elder 23" cousin at Rashi. The Rashi guy told me they were newly launched and he had sold nearly half-a-dozen 22 inchers in the past week or so. He suggested me these monitors as i was keen on getting the IPS-panel and HDMI equipped ASUS PA238Q but was being held back by the price (blame the depreciating Rupee). He quoted 11K (2 weeks back) for the 22" model with HDMI compared to the 16K+ for the ASUS. Both the monitors are factory calibrated though.

LG makes the e-IPS panels being used on the Dell U2311/U2312HM and ASUS PA238Q anyways, so wouldn't bet against the new monitors having similar quality.

Hello Eternomind,

Is the rashi you are talking is the bangalore one?I almost decided upon this as i am sure it would be better then TN panels at the same price. Yes, screen size could be a compromise. I could not find this anywhere in bangalore.

Was almost decided for Dell U2312HM until I came to this thread...

Really confused now :p

Main purpose - Photo works (editing etc so color accuracy) movies... very rare gaming that too by friends and cousin :p

Guys please guide on which one to go for !!

^ photo editing for web or studio? if editing for a photo studio, get an IPS panel monitor like the U2311H or U2410. For web work (sRGB color space) the LG or Dell model you chose will do.

The monitor you listed is eIPS just like the LG model above. Between the Dell and LG there's hardly any difference between the two, besides bigger screen in Dell and the hdmi port in LG.

At the moment it is for web.. but often get prints so can say no-earning studio work :)

Have max budget of 15k so max i can go for is U2312hm

but whats the main difference b/w U2311H and U2312HM apart from the fact that latter is LED backlit instead of LCD

PS : Dont know if I need a HDMI or not.. :p How will it help??

Anyone from bangalore bought this? I am about to buy this or U2312HM. Confused. Need to hook up my PS3. Which one would you guys recommend. I have 2 days to decide:(

U2312hm doesn't have a hdmi port for ps3 connection. You'd need to use a converter. Also, those monitors have a not so good response time on paper. So, better check in a shop directly for ghosting as you're planning to connect a ps3 and it may be a game breaker if your eyes are sensitive enough to spot it.

It would be better if you get Dell u2311h which is available at primeabgb,u2311h is better than u2312hm read this review-TFT Central
