Video Dish antenna direction for DTH

Hi Guys,
Does the dish antenna have to face in a particular direction for Tata Sky/Dish TV? Can it be aligned in any direction???

i think its 1 fixed direction...coz all the dishes in my bldg and around point in the same direction...
