Well the 14" is got more to do with mobility and portability.And the 43,900/- deal is just awesome for that config of 4GB DDR3 + the 4530.

^^ How many times do you expect to use the FP reader? It is just a fad.. I used to have one on my previous laptop and used it frequently for the first few weeks but rarely used after that (usually to show off when someone was around).

I think the screen of the 14" might be better since it provides the same screen resolution as the 15" model so display should be crisper. Plus there is very little difference between HD4530 and HD4570 as evidenced by 3DMark scores (3078 vs 3754) and average fps in the latest games like Crysis (41 vs 44)

however the studio 14z isnt launched yet. the one without optical drive and almost a pounder lighter than this one

mohit...this is not studio 14z...14z is currently available in USA and weights only 1.9kg and it is a lot slimmer and sleeker than the indian model...but 14z doesn't come with inbuilt DVD to minimize the weight....the new indian model is also very good in configuration and pricing...:hap2:

It will good if we have review of new studio 14 laptop. All queries regarding performance, heating of laptop, fan noise etc. will be solved and it will help new buyer.

I didn't purchase it but saw it personally at the store and used it for sometime (have a friend at the shop) and I really liked it. The new look and finish is awesome and made me feel jealous :(

I purchased the new Dell Studio 14....
I simply love it...

No Heating issuess.... But the sound is not loud enough..
great design and looks.....

sunnysibal how is fan noise is too much or silent to be bearable ??? What sound are u talking abt? is it speaker or some other?
