DELL ST2410 - Quick review

This is a short review of new DELL ST2410 LCD.This is a model which can be considered as a replacement for Dell s2409.

The specs are quite similar to Dell s2409 ,with some extra added features and better looks.

This can be helpful for someone looking to buy budget 24" for gaming and movies..:)

Note: Pics are not up to the mark as they are taken from N73.

[BREAK=Conclusion]

Its very great LCD,keeping in mind its price and if someone is looking to buy a 24" then he should consider this one also.
Plus points of Dell ST2410 as compared to Dell S2409 :
1.Higher contrast ratio
2.Antiglare screen
3.Looks better

But price of ST2410 is about 1k more than S2409.

Pros :
1. 16:9 aspect ratio is better for 1080 p movies.
2. Simple ,cool looks
3. Vibrant colors , antiglare screen, high contrast ratio.
4. Blacks and Greys were good and no backlight bleeding.
Cons :
1. No Dvi Cable with monitor.
2. Cost cutting with cheaper ,less ergonomics stand.
3. No usb ports, webcam or other features

Despite of some cons about extra features this monitor is awesome performer
in my opinion and anyone looking to buy a budget Dell 24" should consider this as one of the option
...:cool2:

As this is my first review ever U are welcome for suggestion and criticism....:D
Thanks

13.2k only.....:eek:hyeah:

its quite expensive i think!

especially when 22 inchers r hovering around 8.5-9k
and this has the same TN panel as others!!

almost 4k price jump for 2 inch increase in screen size
is it worthy??

Now most of 24" TN panel are between 12k-15k range price,so its not expensive and as we go for bigger monitor there is a steep increase in price,
22" for 9k but 24" for 12k and 26" for 20k, so from 24" to 26" there is increase in cost by 8k, so after 20" there is very steep price differnce for every 2" extra,
it depends on u r use whether it is worth to spend more for extra size...;)

Nice review
Looking forward to watching movies on 24" ;)
Looks like you did stick around after the sale of your monitor and contributed to TE contrary to the expectations of some people :p

I have received this monitor and it has some issues.

ST2410 has brightness issues..the brightness keeps fluctuating between bright and dark backgrounds on the screen. Suppose If a web page has black graphics(more than 40% of the screen)..the brightness is dull else it is bright. It has some auto adjust mechanism. Though we cannot enable or disable it using settings.

But the real problem comes when there is a combination of bright and dark graphics in the same page the monitor brightness flickers.

nice review, mate :)

I'm still in the deciding stage - so a little bit of help would be appreciated. You mention "NO backlight bleeding" - in the dark, are you sure that there is no/ negligible level of bleed? Obviously, there's nothing like a bleed to put you off...

also, how bad is the glossy screen of SP2309W? It's connectivity features are amazing..
