PC Peripherals Dell ST2410 HDMI Issue

After connecting my ST2410 thru HDMI, it does not go into power save mode on shutting down. The monitor remains on with a 'No HDMI Cable' message. This problem does not occur when the monitor is connected with a DVI-D cable.

Any suggestions ?

But shouldn't the monitor go into power save mode when there is no signal from the HDMI cable ? Instead it stays on with a message.

even i have the same problem but i have connected it with hdmi -> dvi cable , is there any cure for it?

Get a High Speed or Cat-2 certified HDMI cable. I had a HDMI 1.3 cable which wouldn't let my monitor go into power saving mode. Cheap cables are cheap for a reason.
