Daily Purpose Phone or Repair N86?

Recruit
I have a 2year old Nokia N86 which took a dunk in the water and as a result has stopped working, and the service people have asked for 2k for a new battery and 4~5k for repairs. Now I am in a dilemma whether I should get the phone repaired for 6~7k or I should buy a new phone.

I already own an ipod touch 3g, so apps are not a consideration.

Top priorities are call quality, Google Calendar, good alarm and high durability. The phone should last at least 2 years and shouldn't go kaput on 1 drop or 10... Scratch proof glass will be a +. Smooth operation is a must. (I've used a friend's ZTE Blade/Dell XCD35 - found it super laggy) GPS facilities will also be a +, not a very big deal though. Battery life is not a big deal, would like it to last at-least a day though.

Please advise...
