OC & Modding Cosmos 2 Side Panel

Hi,

I'm new. I came here hoping someone would be able to help me out. I own a Cooler Master Cosmos II. I wish to create a windowed side panel. Instead of the usual approach of cutting the existing panel and inserting a window, I was wondering if I could simply buy an acrylic sheet and attach the aluminium latch-hooks (that'll help me hook it up with the hinge), etc.

Here's what I'm kinda targeting: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMHT3B...TF8&colid=3HFTDDOA1M7D8&coliid=I32PWB1ZNV6GY1

So, my question is, is there any place where I can purchase a used side panel, or just the aluminium stuff that goes on it???
Or alternately, is there any place I can get a used case with just the doors intact?
I'd be really grateful for any answers.

-Thanks.

in india absolutely not.plus customs will kill you if you import a side panel.

just buy a dremel and acrylic sheet and mod your panel.will take 20mins tops.

The hinges shown in that Amazon link are pretty common for glass doors/frames. You can easily get them from local hardware store.

Couldn't see the latching mechanism. But you can buy whatever suits your fancy... magnetic, canopy, cam-lock, mortice or probably a padlock :p

Hi Phoenix 117,

Thanks a lot for the response. I'm aware of the customs implications.
I already own a Dremel. I was worried about damaging the panel since its really thick. I would hate to live with that. So, I thought I'll procure a spare one. That way, even if I damage it, I have a good one handy.

If you are worried about finish, take the side panel to a metal welder. They will do it for not much money and the finish will be good. It's their daily work, so hard to fault. For the plexiglass work, take your time. Patience is an absolute for a good finish
