Compaq v3000 laptop with faulty Mobo!

Hi. I have a black colored Compaq v3000 laptop with a non-working motherboard for sale. Apart from the motherboard, the rest of the laptop is in perfect working condition. Also, the laptop is almost scratch free apart from some near the bezel and some (almost invisible) on the lid. My initial asking price is 10K, but I am open to any decent offer. The laptop is out of warranty and Bangalore buyers will be preferred. The specs are almost same as here, except that mine has 1.5GB of RAM. Pics are as follows:

Because, the laptop won't boot up! Plus I tried to get it repaired when I was told at multiple computer repair centers that there is something wrong with some capacitor on board. Also when it was working, everything worked properly. To ensure data privacy, I have copied my files and clean formatted the hard drive. Do let me know if you have any more concerns. :)
 
considering the motherboard would cost me 8 thousand,the final price of the laptop comes to around 18K for me right.This without shipping.

Isn't 18K high for a turion processor laptop without warranty...? Interested if negotiable
 
Dont mean to crap but was offered less than 10k for my compaq V3228au Compaq Presario V3228auwhich is better speced than your machine. also i have upgraded to 1.5gb ram too. My lappy is in working condition except that it gets hot as hell (problem of that Nvidia 6150 Go) so i think 10K is way too optimistic for a dead lappy. just my two cents...

I've got a perfectly working V3155AU with 300Gb HDD and 1 Gb ram (it was 2 Gb dual channel corsair pair, one stick of which has died, if you can get it replaced) to sell, if anyone is interested.
