Even I am thinking of buying a cheap system.. please tell me how that is. I have a monitor, mouse, keyboard at home, so I'll just need the cabinet with CPU, Mobo and RAM.

Your PC Configs are good enough , you might want to look at Celeron / Sempron Mobo Combos , maybe they can be available for < 2.9k
Also , get even smaller HDDs , an External DVD Drive maybe instead of all those internals and you have good enough Surfing PCs.
