Ceiling Fan needed.

My house is 400 sqft, 1BHK only. I need a good ceiling fan for my bedroom which can last for long term. My earlier fan has started giving problems. Its been 35 years for my old fan. Money is not a problem for me. Please help me in buying a good ceiling fan which can last for a long term without any issues for my bedroom. The link to flipkart ceiling fans is given below. If you have any more suggestions for ceiling fans in Mumbai, I welcome them. Please let me know which ones are good and can save electricity also.

I've got one of those and it still works. The main point is sweep as this means it moves more air. Moves more air creates more cooling. larger the better.

When i measured the radius of the blade from the centre it worked out to 60cm. How much is yours. Then see how much smaller these new fans are. One my fans gave a problem, so i got it repaired as i was told they don't make them that big any more. I did not search but i was not willing to use a smaller fan at higher speeds.

Money is not a problem for me. Please help me in buying a good ceiling fan which can last for a long term without any issues for my bedroom.

The old fans are gold. Could handle any abuse and lasted forever.

Don't know what the new fan longevity is like.

Since money isn't a problem then cooling is more important than efficiency. fan that shifts more air at a lower speed makes less noise.

Hey..I have the X1 and using it from about 6 months. Here are my thoughts.

1.Very efficient and powerful. You will not see any difference between normal fan and this in terms of performance.
2. Good looking
3. Remote. ( Both a pro and con. If it is lost, difficult for you to change the number. Keep it away from kids. It illuminates in night which is a pro)
4. Expensive.
5. A little silent.. not very silent.
6. there is led light at the center, it blinks when you change the speed.

Now these are listed in flipkart and snapdeal. Wait for some offers and buy it.

What is the radius of X1 from centre to blade tip ?

All i see is sweep which is 1200 mm, nice big number, working backwards....

120/2pi = 20cm which is tiny (!)

3) IIRC fan speed can be changed by repeated on/off cycles of the power switch. Say you want to change speed to 2, switch on the fan, switch it off and again switch off, repeat this cycle twice and the light blinks twice, indicating the speed change.

It is mentioned in manual also.

Did you use the regulator? If yes, put it on 5 number and then use the fan. I have been using this fan for about 1 yr and its a great fan , in terms of everything.

Regulator? Didn't they mention not to use Regulator while installation?

I always use at 5 only. But still I dont like it. The Indian Fan is very good then these I can say.

Moves slower than ones you are used to.

@john maybe you could have considered a tower fan. It is silent and sweep and air throw is very good.
